Please Don’t Give Up…
Please don’t give up.
I know that some of you are at the end of your rope today. I know some of you have some seemingly insurmountable hurdles in front of you. And I know many of you are hurting, feeling weak, tired, lonely, inadequate, and overwhelmed. But please hang in there. Hold your head high. Please don’t give up.
If you are lost:
“The Lord says, ‘I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.’” Psalm 32:8
“The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.” Psalm 37:23-24
If you are weary:
“I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.” Psalm 16:8
“And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20b
If you are weak:
“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.” Psalm 46:1
“I love you, Lord; you are my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.” Psalm 18:1-2
If you are hesitant:
“Depend on the Lord in whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.” Proverbs 16:3
“The Lord directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way?” Proverbs 20:24
If you are fearful:
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7
Keep believing. Find your strength in Christ to carry on. Exercise your faith. Claim and proclaim the promises of God on your life. Speak the things that are not as though they were. Remember with faith, we don’t have to know how it’s going to happen, we just have to believe that He can make it happen. God is working behind the scenes on your behalf; He is with you always.
I don’t know exactly what you may be going through, but I do know that you have a calling and a purpose. I do know that the world needs you to fulfill your God-given plans, hopes, dreams, desires. I know that miracles happen on the other side of obedience. I know that our God is bigger than any problem that we face. And I know that fear is a facade, a lie and a fake.
You’re breakthrough may be just around the corner. It may be 11:59 and your miracle is at midnight. Don’t throw in the towel. Press in. Persevere. And please, don’t give up.
“The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:14
